On May 1st at the lovely Las Vegas Paiute Resort, 60 guests were treated to a brides focus group panel of 5 newly weds sharing their wedding planning and wedding day experiences. Moderator, Debra Hansen asked the panelists about 20 questions and then the wedding pros present were able to ask their own questions. Debra had also done an online survey and shared the statistical information collected from a larger pool of brides. Check out the full report at this link to ReachBrides.com

The evening was made complete with beautiful linens from Jovani Linens, flowers from Enchanted Florist and uplighting from LED Unplugged. Best of the Best DJ’s filled in with entertainment before and after the panel. First Impression Invitations created a beautiful menu card for the table and Las Vegas Custom Cakes provided the wedding cake that was served. Sweet Sensations Candy Station sent us all home with bags full of candy. All photography was done by Adam Frazier Photography.

The Brides Focus Panel Returns to Las Vegas Wedding Network: May 1st

In 2010, we featured a brides focus panel at one of our Las Vegas Wedding Network events. It has been long talked about as one of our most important educational events ever. So we are excited to bring it back on May 1st, Tuesday evening, at the Las Vegas Paiute Resort.

Between now and then we will be surveying brides to solicit their imput on “what went well and what did not” to come up with valuable information to pass on to you and to select a group of brides to serve on the panel. If you have a bride you think would be good on the panel, please contact either Bridal Spectacular or Jacqueline at Scheme Events who is project coordinator for the May event.

If you missed this event on May 4th at Canyon Gate Country Club, you missed a lot of fun! It was an amazing fundraiser for Wish Upon A Wedding with a “Kentucky Derby” theme created by Shelly Sampson. Thanks to everyone who contributed their time and funds to help out this awesome organization. Las Vegas Wedding Network Raises Money for Wish Upon A Wedding

A big thanks to all the Las Vegas Wedding Network professionals who came out last week to support the local chapter of Wish Upon A Wedding. The “Kentucky Derby” themed event held at Canyon Gate Country Club was a smashing success with almost 80 people in attendance. From the Derby hat contest to the “horse race” and sipping mint juleps around the pool, the Las Vegas Wedding Network committee members and sponsors out did themselves on this one!

Special Thanks to the following people:

Canyon Gate Country Club and Shelley Sampson for hosting the event and for spearheading the theme and special events of the night. The food fit the theme perfectly and was enjoyed by all the guests.

Faith Chapin of Faithfully Yours for hours of work collecting items for the Chinese raffle and Silent Auction.

Gabriel Ortiz of All Events Disc Jockey’s for providing music and announcing the horse race.

Desiree Ledesma of RSVP Party Rentals for providing all the essential party items, dance floor, and furnishings.

Randi Garrett of Naakiti Floral for the Kentucky Derby Hat floral arrangements and for bringing in the horse and creating the winner circle’s garland! Your talents never cease to amaze us.

Thanks to the jockeys who ran themselves hard and fast to win the race and raise funds for Wish Upon A Wedding. Randi Garret of Naakiti Floral, Adam Frazier of Artistic Imaging, Derrek Eddy of Digs Photography, and Shelley Sampson of Canyon Gate. And the winner was……..Shelley Sampson.

Special thanks to the Bridal Spectacular team for the work leading up to the event and for purchasing the Ipad for the raffle. The winner was Kevin Cordova of DJ’s For You. Thanks to Julie Pickrell and Sue Gestring for running registration, selling raffles and being so busy you did not even get to sample the awesome food.

Erin Ward from Hard Rock Cafe was the winner of the Derby Hat contest, but ladies you all outdid yourselves!

Thanks to Brittney Belanger – Cravin’ Cake Bakery for the delicious desserts.

With all the contributions and hard work by everyone, we were able to raise over $1700 for Wish Upon A Wedding. Thanks to everyone for the items they donated to help raise this money.
