You are so right these type of shows just perpetuate the myth. I think this gal was acting this way on purpose to make "good" (BAD) tv. Thank goodness that most brides to do not behave this way. Lots of nervous brides but nothing to the degree of these shows. However, friends in the wedding industry from all over the country have shared their bridal encounter stories and feel these shows imply to brides that they are SUPPOSE to act this way and somehow the manners their parents taught them just fly out the window as they throw tantrum fits in the hopes of getting their way (because after all, it works on TV!!!!) Unfortunately, brides forget that wedding vendors also watch these shows, so if most of the wedding vendors are turning out to be booked for that wedding date, the zilla-bride might want to rethink her game plan..... because evidently the wedding vendors can see right through her. She was late for her appointment and very rude. The comment "I want people to walk in the room and know I have money" OH MY GOSH! Did she really believe that the world revolved around her? Maybe the groom should re-think this. She could have said, the flowers are lovely could you add some bling to it? The florist would have been more than happy to do that.
